Job Summary and Responsibilities

Our multispecialty group, Dignity Health Medical Group – Stockton, a service of Dignity Health Medical Foundation, is seeking a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician to join our team in Stockton, California. If you’re eager to practice where collaboration meets compassion, we want to hear from you!

Practice Highlights:

  • Legacy & Volume: Step into a highly active practice with a loyal patient base. You will help support the continuity of care for a premier cardiac program that has been the community benchmark for over five decades.
  • Surgical Scope: This is a Cardiothoracic focused role. While the volume is primarily Cardiac, you will have the opportunity to perform a broad range of cases, supporting a team that values a "little bit of everything" approach.
  • Team Structure: Join an established team of surgeons and a dedicated cardiac APP team that handles much of the daily rounding and inpatient consults.
  • Call & Balance: Enjoy a highly sustainable call schedule. The team structure ensures a cardiac surgeon is always available for support, and emergent cardiac cases are typically scheduled for the following day, minimizing middle-of-the-night hospital requirements.
  • Advanced Technology: Access to a da Vinci Xi robot (with a second D5 robot arriving in 2026), a brand-new LINAC for oncology collaboration, and E-BUS capabilities.

Competitive Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive Compensation: Salary Range: $750,000 - $850,000 per year.

Job Requirements
  • Board eligible or board certified in specified area of medical specialty (ABMS or AOA)
  • A valid and unrestricted California medical license
  • DEA Certification
  • Team-Oriented: A strong desire to work within a collaborative model where surgeons support one another to ensure both patient safety and team work-life balance.
