The posted compensation range of $47.29-$70.35 is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Nurse Pract Hospital Cardiology
Job Details
As a Nurse Practitioner, Hospital Cardiology, you will be responsible for utilizing training and skills to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a physician.
Every day, you will apply your specialized knowledge to assess, diagnose, and manage complex cardiovascular conditions in hospitalized patients. This involves collaborating closely with cardiologists, residents, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans, monitor patient progress, and ensure optimal outcomes for individuals with acute and chronic heart disease.
To be successful in your role, you will meticulously provide direct patient care, utilizing your specialized training and skills to assess, diagnose, and manage hospital cardiology patients under physician supervision. You will demonstrate exceptional clinical proficiency and a compassionate approach, ensuring comprehensive care coordination and optimal patient outcomes within your scope of practice.
- Manage patients in collaboration with the cardiologists, providing specialty care to patients with acute and chronic problems. Triage or address consults for immediate care or elective care through the cardiology clinic.
- Participate in cardiology inpatient rounding. Cover weekend night call on a rotational basis.
- Collects data pertinent to the patients’ status and performs bedside credentialed procedures.
- Maintains a professional demeanor and promotes a positive work environment.
- Performs and/or assists the supervising physician with discharge services including discharge planning, discharge summaries, and coordinating post-discharge follow-up care.
- Works collaboratively with clinical teams in managing cardiology patients in the EP lab, Cath lab, ICU and other inpatient units. Obtain medical histories when necessary.

Required
- Masters Of Science Nursing and 1 year previous experience as an NP in an acute care setting or equivalent RN experience., upon hire
- Advanced Practitioner Registered Nurse: TN, upon hire and
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support, upon hire

The Chattanooga Heart Institute offers the most comprehensive cardiac care available in this region. Founded in 1976, we now have six offices in Tennessee and one in Georgia. Our practice is made up of 29 board-certified cardiologists and three cardiothoracic surgeons. We merged with CHI Memorial Health Care System in 2011 which is part of CommonSpirit Health. CommonSpirit has more than 700 care sites across the U.S. and is committed to building healthy communities.
