The posted compensation range of $107.91 - $149.13 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Details
- This position is available due to growth and needs of the comumnity.
- Single practice. 60% Medicaid. Approximately 40% Private.
- General pediatrics age 0-18 year, well child, acute visits and complex health care needs.
- Outpatient and Inpatient. Newborn Nursery with average daily census 11 - our group covers the NB nursery at St Joseph’s 7 days a week and we share the weekends across our group/per diem.
- Typical work week: Option for 5 days versus 4 days (extended schedule); Working Saturday and Sunday on those weekends assigned to NB nursery which is shared.
- Procedures: Circumcision, Frenotomy
- Call: Weekly night call for NB nursery and for practice. Shared weekends.
- Additional practice details: Teach medical students and also residents (mostly pediatric, and possibly family medicine).
- May have roles as Core Faculty and Advisor, support and maintain residency program curricula.
- Oversees, prepares and presents ambulatory didactic curriculum
- Activities include but are not limited to: care of patients, teaching and supervising learners, performing medical student and resident assessments, feedback and written evaluations, oversight of education and quality improvement activities and clinic performance metrics, maintenance of an educational environment conducive to educating medical students and residents in both LCME and ACGME competency area.

- MD or DO Degree
- Board Certification/Eligibility
- Must have or be eligible for medical licensure in Arizona.
- PALS certification
- Completed ACGME Residency training program
- Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital privileges at Dignity Health Arizona hospitals

Located in sunny Phoenix, Dignity Health Medical Group Pediatricsis looking for a Pediatrician to participate primarily in the care of patients in the outpatient and inpatient newborn settings.
Pediatrics is a major teaching site for Creighton University School of Medicine medical students, Creighton Alliance Family Medicine residents, and Phoenix Children’s Hospital Pediatric Residency Program. Our practice is committed to advancing the holistic health care of infants, children, and adolescents through innovative medical care, research, education, training, and advocacy.
DIGNITY HEALTH MEDICAL GROUP OVERVIEW:
With over 240 physicians and 800 total employees, Dignity Health Medical Group – Arizona is a comprehensive, integrated, multispecialty, academic medical group that serves Dignity Health St. Joseph’s and Westgate Medical Centers, Chandler Regional Medical Center, and Mercy Gilbert Medical Center. The physicians of DHMG – AZ are regularly involved with clinical duties, as well as academics and translational bench research, keeping the enhancement of care and the patient experience at the forefront of the work that they do.
CREIGHTON MEDICAL SCHOOL - PHOENIX:
Creighton medical school – phoenix is the sister medical school based in Nebraska, As of summer of 2021, the medical school has 900 medical students in a beautiful 8 story building on campus. It has a revolutionary “Knowledge Donor Program” providing life like cadaveric dissection and learning. You will earn an academic ranking commiserate with work and achievement. Creighton provides full CME, research, and publication support. Future goals will be an orthopedic residency and orthopedic trauma fellowship programs in combination with Chandler Regional Medical Center.
PHOENIX, ARIZONA:
Phoenix, valley of the sun, is the 5th largest city in the US with approximately 5M people. It has been the fastest growing city the past 5 years in a row. Within the same day, one can ski or hike in Flagstaff or Sedona or swim in the pacific ocean. The Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, Lake Havasu, Sedona, Mt Lemon, Salt River, Horseshoe Bend, Lake Pleasant, and Saguaro Lake are all within driving distance. We are a 5 hour drive or 1 hour flight from San Diego or Las Vegas. The weather is awesome 9 months a year with 340+ sunny days a year. When the summer weather is hot you can hop in your pool or drive 2 hours away where the weather is always 30 degrees cooler. Centrally, Phoenix has an 8 square mile park with elevation gains of 1200 feet. The city is connected with endless canal connections to ride your bike, run, or walk.
