Job Details
- Providing PM&R consults at one or more CHI Omaha/Council Bluffs hospitals
- Dual manage inpatients with Hospitalists on the inpatient rehab unit, functioning as the rehabilitation team leader
- No in-house weekend calls ( Inpatient Hospitalist coverage on the weekends)
- Participation in education and mentorship of CUSOM medical students
- Opportunity for growth to add Outpatient clinics in the continuum of care in Brain Injury, SCI, Amputation, and Stroke as well as spasticity management (chemo denervation, ITB pump refills)
- Large Primary care, Ortho, Spine surgery partner base for inpatient and outpatient referrals
- Involvement with community-based brain injury and trauma prevention programs

Qualifications
- American Board Certified or Board Eligible in Specified Area of Medical Specialty
- A valid and unrestricted state medical license or license-eligible
Overview
CHI Health Clinic (CHC) and CHI Immanuel Rehabilitation Institute seek a BC/BE physiatrist with particular interest in inpatient rehab services, for our 35 bed, CARF accredited inpatient rehab unit. Immanuel Rehabilitation was voted as the Best Hospital for Rehabilitation in Nebraska by the US News 2021-22. This Physician would join two other inpatient Physiatrists managing a multitude of patients with various diagnosis and injuries.
Additionally, voluntary or full faculty appointment available at CUSOM and opportunities for research in Creighton University Schools of Medicine or Allied Health. The candidate should possess particular interpersonal strengths in empathy, problem solving, and listening. The practice attitude is one of pitching in and helping out and sharing burdens and benefits. The practice includes two (2) primarily inpatient physiatrists, one outpatient sports physiatrist, and one nurse practitioner. This new position is created for growth and opportunity of our current program.

CHI Health in the Omaha metro consists of 5 academic and community hospitals with programs including thrombectomy capable comprehensive stroke and level 1 trauma. Immanuel Medical Center offers general hospital and multi-specialty services including the CHI Neurological Institute.
