The posted compensation range of $63.10 - $93.87 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Details
Job Summary:
● Comprehensive evaluation and assessment of patients presenting to the medical specialty service
● Orders, reviews and interprets diagnostic testing as appropriate to the patient’s condition and medical specialty
● Provides treatment, including medications as appropriate to patient condition and presentation, in accordance
with pertinent state regulations
● Performs clinic based procedures commensurate with education, training and experience
● Enables continuity of care by managing patient care in the ambulatory and acute care settings
● Collaborative member of interdisciplinary care team with advanced communication skills
Essential Key Job Responsibilites:
● Performs history and physical assessments of patients that are accurate, concise, relevant, and
appropriate
Responsible for patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, education, health
promotion, and care coordination
● Orders, reviews and interprets diagnostic, radiologic and laboratory tests as appropriate to the
patient’s condition and specialty
● Furnishes/transmits medications and treatments and writes prescriptions, providing refills as
appropriate
● Review’s treatment and therapy plans with the patient and appropriate family members
offering education and counseling to support management of acute and chronic health
conditions and injuries
● Performs routine procedures pertinent to the practice and as granted through the privileging
process
● Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to facilitate discharge and post hospitalization care.
● Documents information in the electronic medical record according to both hospital, medical
group and department policy and timeliness standards. This includes history and physical exam
(H&Ps), consults, pre and post operative notes, admission and discharge notes, medication
delivery, and procedural notes.
● Detects changes in a patient’s health and alters treatment plans as necessary. Evaluates and
clarifies clinical conditions, including recognition and management of postoperative
complications
● Facilitates consults with and/or patient referral to the appropriate physician or agency
● Completes applicable forms/documents based on practice specialty
● Effectively communicates with patients and responds to messages within established time
frames
● Uses computer and telecommunication modalities to document, track and convey information
proficiently

● Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills with respectful, advanced level of communication
and interdisciplinary collaboration

improvement, attendance, safety, environmental and infection control guidelines
● Maintains a professional appearance, wears identification while on duty
● Represents organization in a positive and professional manner at all times, including when off
duty
● Adheres to organizational policy regarding prescription and surveillance of opiates and
controlled medications by utilizing CommonSpirit Opioid Toolkit
● Attends required percentage of quarterly, departmental, and mandatory/compliance training
meeting
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of accredited advanced practice training program (Physician Assistant)
PA: CA
BLS – CPR within 90 days
DEA license
- 1-2 years as Advanced Practice Provider in Primary Care, Similar or Same Medical Specialty Discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ACLS preferred
