Mercy Medical Group (MMG), a multi-specialty group with more than 500 healthcare providers in the Sacramento region, is looking to add a fellowship-trained, skilled and compassionate Outpatient Pulmonologist to join our dynamic healthcare team.

MMG is seeking a BE/BC Pulmonary Medicine Physician to provide excellent outpatient clinical care to our established patient base as part of our large Pulm/CC division. This position is outpatient only, full-time M-F with no weekends, and no hospital call requirement (limited clinic call only). Spirometry is done in the clinic with other procedures done at the hospital. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing service line of dynamic individuals in a busy practice.   • Guaranteed Annual Salary: $366,574- $388,138 per year, Depending on experience

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

    • Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history review, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
    • Diagnose and manage a wide range of pulmonary conditions, such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pneumonia, and interstitial lung disease.
    • Develop personalized treatment plans based on patients' individual needs, including medication management, lifestyle modifications, and pulmonary rehabilitation.
    • Perform and interpret pulmonary function tests, bronchoscopy, and other diagnostic procedures to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including primary care physicians, specialists, and respiratory therapists, to provide coordinated and multidisciplinary care.
    • Educate patients and their families about respiratory conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures to promote self-management and disease prevention.
    • Monitor patients' progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and provide ongoing follow-up care to ensure optimal outcomes.
    • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in pulmonary medicine through continuous professional development and participation in relevant medical conferences and research activities.
    • Adhere to ethical, regulatory, and professional standards, maintaining patient confidentiality and delivering care with empathy, respect, and professionalism.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

    • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
    • BC/BE in pulmonology.
    • Completion of an accredited residency program in internal medicine and fellowship in pulmonology.
    • Valid medical license and ability to practice medicine in the desired location.
    • Strong clinical skills in the diagnosis and management of pulmonary diseases.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, colleagues, and healthcare staff.
    • Dedication to providing high-quality, evidence-based care with a patient-centered approach.
    • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with advancements in the field of pulmonology.
