Geriatrician Opportunity - Partnership Track

Mercy Medical Group (MMG), a large multi-specialty medical group in the Sacramento Region, is looking to add a collaborative, patient-centric Geriatric Physician to our busy Geriatrics Team in Sacramento, CA. Join our established team of 5 Geriatricians and 9 Geriatric Adavanced Practice Clinicians. We are seeking BE/BC fellowship-trained Geriatrician (IM or FP).

The Geriatrics Division is dedicated to care-coordination care throughout the continuum of care with this team-based approach. There is an opportunity to work with trainees at UC Davis and UCSF and the potential for faculty appointment. The division is involved in several novel research projects including innovative devices in chronic disease management, geriatric telemedicine, and long-term care research working with AMDA Foundation. Opportunities for leadership, medical directorship, and quality improvement projects are available depending on individual interests.

Mercy Medical Group (MMG) is a dynamic, growing organization with a long-standing history of providing exceptional medical care in the Sacramento area. MMG is a large multi-specialty medical group of 500+ providers comprised of primary care physicians, specialists in more than 30 medical and surgical specialties, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners. These professionals provide seamless primary and specialty care, working together to meet the unique needs of each individual patient. MMG clinicians provide services to patients at Dignity Health Medical Foundation locations throughout Sacramento. Mercy Medical Group is aligned with Dignity Health, operating on a medical foundation model.

Qualifications
  • Active California state medical license and DEA registration
  • BE/BC in Geriatric Medicine (IM or FP)
  • Completed an ACGME accredited fellowship training in Geriatric Medicine
  • Strong clinical skills and experience working with elderly populations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based healthcare envi
  • Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and respect for the unique needs of elderly patients
