Mercy Medical Group (MMG) is seeking a board-certified / board-eligible, skilled, and compassionate Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrician to join our dynamic healthcare team in Sacramento, California. The ideal candidate will specialize in diagnosing and treating children with developmental, behavioral, and emotional disorders. Mercy Medical Group (MMG) is a dynamic, growing organization with a long-standing history of providing exceptional medical care in the Sacramento area. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of children with developmental and behavioral concerns, including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorders, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), learning disabilities, and emotional disturbances.
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with families and interdisciplinary teams.
- Provide ongoing management and follow-up care for children with chronic developmental and behavioral conditions.
- Offer guidance and support to parents and caregivers regarding behavioral strategies, educational resources, and community services.
- Collaborate with schools, therapists, and other healthcare providers to ensure a coordinated approach to care.
- Stay current with research and best practices in developmental and behavioral pediatrics to provide evidence-based care.
- Participate in community outreach and education initiatives to promote awareness of developmental and behavioral health issues.
- Document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics; subspecialty certification in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics preferred.
- Valid medical license to practice in California.
- Strong clinical skills with experience in developmental and behavioral pediatrics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to children and families.
