Mercy Medical Group,a service of Dignity Health Medical Foundation, is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our established Outpatient Cardiology team in East Sacramento. This is a full-time opportunity with a Monday through Friday schedule and no call, weekends, or nights required.
You’ll be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team of board-certified cardiologists, nurse practitioners, and dedicated support staff providing high-quality cardiovascular care to a diverse patient population. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including health history, physical examination, and diagnostic tests as needed
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory studies
- Prescribe medications and other treatments as necessary
- Provide patient education and counseling on disease management, lifestyle modification, and medication adherence
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education programs to maintain and enhance clinical skills and knowledge
Qualifications
Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of California
Minimum 2 years of experience in cardiology or a related specialty
Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities
