Bay Area Living – OB/GYN Physician with Dignity Health Medical Group – Sequoia in Redwood City, CA
Dignity Health Medical Group – Sequoia, a service of Dignity Health Medical Foundation, is seeking a BE/BC Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician (OB/GYN) to join our patient-centered team in Redwood City, CA. Practice with autonomy, collaboration, and flexibility in the heart of the Bay Area — one of California’s most desirable places to live and work.
We are affiliated with Sequoia Hospital, a 208-bed, not-for-profit community hospital recognized for excellence in heart care, surgical services, and patient safety. The hospital’s award-winning Family Birth Center offers private labor, delivery, and recovery suites and includes a Level II NICU staffed in collaboration with Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford, providing advanced care for high-risk newborns—all within a supportive, patient-centered environment that fosters comprehensive OB care and collaboration in the heart of the Bay Area.

- Practice Structure:
- 3-4 clinic days per week (flexible scheduling)
- Shared call model (1:6)
- Physician-led care supported by experienced NPs and clinical staff
- Opportunity for additional ED call shifts for supplemental income
- Hospital Facilities:
- Modern, well-equipped birthing center at Sequoia Hospital
- Approximately 1,000+ deliveries annually
- 24/7 anesthesia coverage by experienced anesthesiologists
- Dedicated OB Emergency Department
- Strong partnership with Stanford Medicine for tertiary care access
Compensation and Benefits
- Guaranteed Salary: $375,000 – $400,000 + productivity incentives
- Sign-on Bonus: Up to $125,000
- Relocation Assistance: Up to $20,000

Job Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate care in both outpatient and hospital settings.
- Perform routine exams, manage prenatal and postnatal care, and conduct obstetric and gynecologic procedures.
- Participate in deliveries, surgeries, and on-call hospital coverage.
- Collaborate with NPs and other team members to enhance patient outcomes and experiences.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and uphold best practices in patient safety and compliance.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Active California medical license (or ability to obtain)
- DEA certification
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered care
