Dignity Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Interventional Cardiology Nurse Practitioner to join our specialized interventional cardiology team. In this role, you will have a primary focus on providing comprehensive care to patients.  Your responsibilities will include assisting interventional cardiologists with patient evaluations, procedure education, and post-procedure follow-up care.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with interventional cardiologists.
  • Conduct thorough pre-procedure evaluations, including patient history review, physical assessments, and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
  • Educate patients and their families about the details of interventional procedures, including risks, benefits, and post-procedure care instructions.
  • Assist in the coordination of patient care throughout the process, from pre-procedure preparation to post-procedure recovery and follow-up.
  • Monitor patients' progress and recovery following procedures,  addressing any complications or concerns as they arise.
  • Provide ongoing patient education on  medication management, vascular access care, and lifestyle modifications to support long-term heart health.
  • Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including nurses, physicians and surgeons, and allied health professionals, to ensure seamless patient care delivery.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting patient encounters, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Nursing with specialization in Cardiology.
  • Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner with focus on cardiology.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in interventional cardiology.
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with proficiency in interpreting cardiac imaging studies and diagnostic tests.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively educate and support patients throughout the interventional cardiology process.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in the state of practice.
