Job Summary and Responsibilities

Dignity Health- Yavapai Regional Medical Group is in need of an Orthopedic Non-Operative Sports Medicine Physician in Prescott, AZ.

Position Details:

  • Joining a group of two providers - One Sports Medicine Orthopedic Surgeon and a PA.
  • Reason for open position: Expansion of the practice.
  • Population Group: Medicare, Commercial 50/50.
  • Projected Volumes:  20-25 pt/day
  • Outpatient? Yes
  • Inpatient? No
  • Consults? No
  • Typical week (i.e., hours worked, hospital vs. clinic, % academic): 100% clinic, 1.0 FTE 40 hrs/wk.
  • Procedures - Office procedures only (injections) 
  • No call
  • Additional practice details:  Provider will see sports med patients that do not need surgery.  Provider can be trained to see concussions and refer ortho patients to Dr Chun if intervention is needed.

Job Requirements
  • MD/DO
  • Fellowship Training and American Board Certification in Non-operative Sports Medicine
  • Must have or be eligible for Arizona state medical license
  • Acceptable completion of an ACGME accredited residency program with current ABMS board certification
  • 0-5 years experience working with team sports, Division I collegiate experience highly desirable
  • Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital privileges at Dignity Health Arizona hospitals
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Ability to make quick, informed decisions in high-pressure situations
