Job Details
The Division of Interventional Pulmonary at Dignity Health Norton Thoracic Institute (NTI) is seeking to hire a third AABIP certified or eligible interventional pulmonary consultant. This position will provide interventional pulmonary and advanced diagnostics services primarily at Chandler Regional Medical Center (CRMC), Mercy Gilbert Medical Center (MGMC), but will also rotate at times to St. Joseph Hospital and Medical Center (SJHMC) and Dignity Health Cancer Institute (DHCI). The interventional pulmonologist will work in close collaboration with our thoracic surgery team, our lung cancer screening team and our advanced pulmonologists. This individual will also participate in our multidisciplinary thoracic tumor boards at CRMC and SJHMC.
The responsibilities of the position include inpatient consults, clinic and procedures. Experience in robotic bronchoscopy is preferred as it will help advance the existing Ion robotic bronchoscopy program.
Supervision:
The interventional pulmonologist will provide supervision to nurse practitioners and rotating trainees.
Educational and Research Policy:
The interventional pulmonologist will participate in clinical education of medical students and residents from Creighton University Health Sciences Campus - Phoenix. Clinical and bench research is strongly supported and desired.
Appointment:
Clinical assistant or associate professor with Creighton University School of Medicine.
REQUIREMENTS:
- MD or DO Degree
- ABIM certified in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine
- AABIP certified or eligible in Interventional Pulmonary
- Completed ACGME Residency training with current ABMS Board Certification
- Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital/surgical privileges at Dignity Health Arizona hospitals
- Must obtain Arizona State medical licensure prior to starting the position
