Interventional Cardiologist
The Dignity Health Medical Group, a division of CommonSpirit Health, is seeking a highly motivated and academically inclined Interventional Cardiologist to join our growing Cardiology program in Phoenix, AZ. This position offers a unique blend of clinical practice and teaching providing an opportunity to contribute to the development of an academic cardiovascular team at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center (SJHMC) in partnership with Creighton University Arizona Health Education Alliance.
The Interventional Cardiologist will contribute to the continued growth and development of our expanding Cardiology program. The time split will be - 75% for Clinical activities; 25% will be dedicated to teaching and clinical research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Cath Lab procedures and contribute to interventional cardiology services with a focus on complex and high-risk cases.
- Actively participate in teaching and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows as part of our Creighton University-affiliated training programs.
- Engage in clinical research and trials, fostering an environment of innovation and evidence-based medicine.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop an academically focused, high-performing cardiovascular service line.
- Play a key role in building an academic cardiology team, contributing to curriculum development and faculty recruitment.
Requirements:
- MD or DO Degree
- Board Certified in Interventional Cardiovascular Disease
- Cath Lab procedures
- Recent involvement in Research and Clinical Trials
- Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital privileges at Dignity Health Arizona hospitals
- Must obtain Arizona State medical licensure before starting in the position
