Job Details
The Certified Nurse Midwife is a registered professional nurse who has specialized skills, knowledge and experience in obstetrical, neonatal and gynecological medicine and is duly authorized to perform designated acts of medical therapeutics and corrective measures in collaboration with and under the supervision of a licensed physician.
Additional:
- Group of 7 CNMs and 9 MD’s
- General OB GYN - AHCCCS /Commercial and Self Pay
- Can only do cases within the scope of a CNM.
- 18-24 patients in clinic per 8 hour day in clinic. Varies in hospital.
- Includes outpatient/ inpatient /consults.
- Combination of 24hrs hospital and 16 hours clinic per week as needed for PRN.
- Procedures: IUD insert/removal and vaginal deliveries.
- Call: Rotation with the CMN group PRN as needed with a minimum of (2) 24hr shifts per month.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year CNM experience required. 2 years CNM preferred.
- Strong verbal, written, computer and interpersonal skills required.
- Current Arizona APN License.
- Current CNM Certification by the American College of Nurse Midwives.
- Must have prescriptive authority and DEA license.
- CT CPRBLS is mandatory.
- CT ACLS preferred.
