CHI St. Vincent is seeking a skilled and compassionate PRN Cardiology Nurse Practitioner  to join our cardiology team at the CHI St. Vincent Heart Clinic Arkansas - Cardiology and Medicine Clinic in Little Rock. This is a flexible opportunity to provide essential support to our cardiology service line, contributing to excellent patient care and outcomes.

About the Role:

As a PRN Cardiology Nurse Practitioner, you will provide essential support to our cardiology team, focusing on pre- and post-procedure patient care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring patient care post catheterization and angioplasty: Assessing patient status, managing complications, and ensuring a smooth recovery.
  • Discharge planning: Coordinating discharge instructions, medications, and follow-up appointments.
  • Preparing patients for procedures: Educating patients about the procedure, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
  • Monitoring care plans: Ensuring adherence to established protocols and collaborating with the cardiology team to adjust plans as needed.
  • Patient education: Providing comprehensive education to patients and their families regarding their heart condition, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Assisting with other cardiology-related tasks as needed.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current and valid Arkansas APRN license (or eligible to obtain).
  • DEA license (or eligible to obtain).
  • Experience in cardiology preferred, but not required.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of cardiovascular disease.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to adapt to a flexible PRN schedule.
