Job Details
Dignity Health Medical Group Nevada is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Market Medical Director, Critical Care Medicine to provide strategic leadership and clinical oversight for critical care services across our Las Vegas market. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving clinical excellence, optimizing resource utilization, and fostering a collaborative environment within our critical care network.
Clinical Leadership & Quality Improvement:
- Provide clinical leadership and expertise to critical care physicians and
- advanced practice providers (APPs) across the market.
- Develop and implement standardized clinical protocols, guidelines, and best practices to improve patient outcomes and reduce variability in care.
- Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives, focusing on key performance indicators
- (KPIs) such as mortality rates, length of stay, readmission rates, and patient satisfaction.
- Monitor and analyze clinical data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas of concern.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and accreditation standards related to
- critical care services.
Efficiency & Resource Management:
- Collaborate with hospital leadership and DHMG administrative dyad partner to optimize
- resource allocation, including staffing, equipment, and bed management.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce
- costs while maintaining high-quality patient care.
- Participate in the development and implementation of strategic plans for critical care services
- across the market.
- Work with finance and operations teams to develop and manage budgets for critical care services.
Physician & APP Engagement & Development:
- Foster a collaborative and supportive environment for critical care physicians and APPs.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to critical care physicians and APPs, promoting professional development and growth.
- Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new critical care physicians and
- APPs.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to critical care physicians and APPs.
- Serve as a liaison between critical care physicians and hospital administration.
Market Development & Strategic Growth:
- Identify opportunities to expand critical care services within the market.
- Participate in the development of new programs and services to meet the evolving needs of the community.
- Collaborate with marketing and business development teams to promote critical care services.
- Represent the critical care service line in meetings with hospital leadership, community
- stakeholders, and other healthcare providers.
Research & Innovation:
- Encourage and support research and innovation within the critical care service
- line.
- Promote the adoption of new technologies and evidence-based practices.
- Participate in clinical trials and other research initiatives.

Qualifications
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board Certification in Critical Care Medicine.
- 5 years of experience in critical care medicine, with demonstrated leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of healthcare finance, operations, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Experience with quality improvement methodologies and data analysis.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and clinical excellence.
- Experience in ECMO preferred
