Job Details
Patient Assessment and Diagnosis:
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
Treatment Planning and Management:
- Develop and implement patient care plans.
- Prescribe medications and therapies.
- Provide health promotion and disease prevention education.
Collaboration and Consultation:
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
- Consult with physicians and specialists as needed.
- Coordinate patient care across various settings.
Qualifications
- A valid and unrestricted license to practice in the State of California
- Nationally recognized certification (as determined by Medicare)
- Completion of state mandated educational courses
Overview
Dignity Health Medical Group - Sierra Nevada is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider with experience in Urgent Care or a related specialty to work in both our existing Urgent Care clinic as well as on a new mobile care unit. This full time opportunity will work approximately 3 days/week on the mobile unit and 2 days/week in the brick and mortar urgent care clinic. (This may change as the mobile unit becomes more established.) The primary goal of this position is to staff the mobile unit. The brick and mortar UC clinic is located in beautiful Grass Valley, CA. The mobile unit will be based out of Grass Valley, but will travel throughout surrounding rural areas within approximately 100 miles of Grass Valley, CA.
Our ideal candidate has experience in Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, Primary Care, Street Medicine or similar.
Ideal candidate is open to the following:
- Offering excellent Urgent and Primary Care services to patients in a mobile unit that will travel throughout the community.
- Ability to work independently and lead the care team aboard the mobile unit.
- Offering excellent Urgent Care services to patients in a new and growing brick and mortar Urgent Care center in Grass Valley
- Partnering with highly trained, competent and caring support staff
- Providing services in a rural community where healthcare providers are appreciated every day for their heroic work
- Willingness and ability to drive a mobile care unit (similar to driving an RV).
- Must have a CA drivers license and acceptable driving record. No special or commercial license is needed; a normal Class C license is all that is required to drive the mobile care unit.
