Job Details
- Diagnosis and Treatment:Diagnosing and treating a variety of illnesses, from common colds and flu to chronic conditions like diabetes and hypertension.
- Preventive Care:Providing routine check-ups, immunizations, screening tests, and health-risk assessments.
- Chronic Disease Management:Managing long-term conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, and other chronic illnesses.
- Referral to Specialists:Referring patients to specialists when necessary for specialized care.
- Health Education and Counseling:Educating patients about healthy lifestyles, disease prevention, and medical treatments.
- Coordinating Care:Collaborating with other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and quality patient care.
- Patient Communication:Communicating effectively with patients and their families to build trust and ensure patient understanding of their care plan.
- Documentation:Maintaining detailed and accurate patient records.
- Continuing Medical Education:Staying up-to-date on medical advancements and best practices to provide the best possible care.
Qualifications
- Medical Degree (MD or DO):Completion of an accredited medical school program.
- Residency Program:Completion of a residency in family medicine, internal medicine, or pediatrics.
- Board Certification:Certification or eligibility for certification in a primary care specialty (family medicine, internal medicine, or pediatrics).
- Medical License:A valid medical license to practice in the relevant state.
