CHI Memorial Medical Group is seeking a Complex General Surgical Oncologist to join our thriving surgical oncology team in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This is a hospital-employed position offering the opportunity to work alongside a healthy, collaborative group of 2 surgical oncologists and 8 general surgeons. The position is based at one primary location and includes minor general surgery call responsibilities and opportunities.
As part of CommonSpirit Health, one of the largest non-profit healthcare systems in the country, this role provides opportunities for leadership development and professional growth beyond clinical practice alone. Our program is a COC-Accredited Cancer Center, supported by disease-site oriented nurse navigators and comprehensive oncology services, including genetics, dietitians, physical therapy, and social work. While research is not an integral part of this position, we provide research resources for those with an interest.

Responsibilities
The incoming surgical oncologist will:
- Manage complex gastrointestinal cancers.
- Treat cutaneous malignancies and soft tissue sarcomas.
- Perform additional critical oncologic surgical procedures, including: placement of ports, feeding tubes, lymph node excisional biopsies for diagnosis
- Have the option to incorporate breast surgery, HEENT malignancies, anal cancer care, and HIPEC into their practice.
- Strongly encouraged to have experience or interest in robotic surgery.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Completion of fellowship training in Complex General Surgical Oncology.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in Tennessee.
