Overview

Dignity Health Medical Group - Sequoia, a service of Dignity Health Medical Foundation, is seeking an energetic and team-oriented Urology Physician Assistant to join our vibrant team on a part-time basis. We are a growing multi-specialty group and affiliated with Sequoia Hospital.

The successful candidate will work closely with Dr. Dieter Bruno, a highly experienced urologist and Chief Medical Officer of Sequoia Hospital. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a well-trained, motivated, and patient-centered PA who is eager to contribute to a growing urology practice in the Redwood City community.

Compensation/Benefits:

  • $64,000 per year (0.4 FTE)
  • No Call, No Nights, No Weekends

San Mateo County is a highly desirable and family-friendly place to live. The weather is remarkably mild year-round, with an average temperature of 68 degrees. The communities are located halfway between San Francisco and San Jose. Known for their wooded hills, views of the San Francisco Bay, and stretches of open space, there are quiet residential communities in the midst of the culturally and technologically rich San Francisco Bay area.


Responsibilities
  • Assist in the evaluation, management, and treatment of urology patients in both clinical and hospital settings
  • Perform urological procedures such as prostate biopsies, cystoscopy, and vasectomy in an outpatient setting under physician supervision
  • Provide perioperative care and assist in surgical procedures, including robotic surgeries (DaVinci Xi)
  • Manage hospital rounds and inpatient consultations as required

Qualifications
  • Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience as a Physician Assistant.
  • A valid and unrestricted license to practice in the State of California
  • Nationally recognized certification (as determined by Medicare)
  • Completion of state mandated educational courses
