The posted compensation range of $539,593 - $569,593 /year is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a dedicated Cardiac Critical Care Intensivist, you will joinMercy Medical Group, a premier multi-specialty group in the Sacramento region, playing a pivotal role in our esteemed critical care program at Mercy General Hospital.

You will provide specialized care within our state-of-the-art 20-bed Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CSICU), contributing to a multidisciplinary team dedicated to clinical innovation and high-acuity patient outcomes. This role offers the unique opportunity to manage complex cardiac cases while enjoying the professional autonomy and collaborative support that defines our practice.

To be successful in this role, you will be a highly skilled, collaborative physician with a passion for critical care, a commitment to advanced cardiac therapeutics, and a desire to excel in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

  • Deliver exceptional clinical care to patients within the 20-bed CSICU.
  • Manage complex mechanical circulatory support, including Impella, LVAD, and ECMO, in a high-acuity setting.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of specialists to optimize patient outcomes and advance cardiac critical care standards.
  • Participate in the growth and clinical development of the cardiac surgical intensive care program.

Job Requirements

Required:

  • Board-certified or board-eligible MD or DO in Critical Care Medicine
  • Fellowship training in Cardiac Critical Care, Surgical Critical Care, or Anesthesia Critical Care is highly desirable
  • Experience with Mechanical Circulatory Support (Impella, LVAD, ECMO)
  • Advanced Heart Failure Cardiology candidates with critical care experience will be considered
  • Active or eligible license in the state of California
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills in a team-based, patient-focused environment
