The posted compensation range of $525,000 - $725,000 /year is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Details
As our Hematology / Oncology Physician, you will join an established clinical team at Dignity Health’s Pacific Central Coast Health Centers (PHC), playing a pivotal role in the continued success and community health impact of our Oncology & Hematology clinic at Mission Hope Cancer Center in Santa Maria, California.
Every day you will provide comprehensive, expert clinical care to address the complex needs of patients navigating cancer diagnoses and blood disorders. Operating out of the premier regional hub for advanced oncology services, you will leverage conventional medical technology and complementary therapies to manage treatments including chemotherapy, immunotherapies, targeted therapies, and specialized care plans. You will collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team of onsite Nurse Navigators, supportive services, and active Cancer Committees to deliver highly coordinated, personalized patient pathways.
To be successful in this role, you will be a BC/BE fellowship-trained Hematologist/Oncologist with a strong passion for community-based cancer care, strong clinical skills, and a deep commitment to delivering care centered around humankindness.
We are offering a competitive base compensation of $525,000 annually, with productivity and quality bonus structures that can bring total on-target earnings to $700,000+. New hires will also receive a generous sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, comprehensive medical and dental benefits and a robust retirement package alongside malpractice coverage to thrive within our collaborative coastal network.
Job Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification or eligibility in Hematology/Oncology
- Fellowship trained in Hematology/Oncology
- Active or eligible license in the state of California
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

The site is fully integrated with Marian Regional Medical Center, an award-winning, 191-bed hospital consistently recognized for exceptional clinical quality and safety. As part of Pacific Central Coast Health Centers (PHC), you will collaborate with a robust coastal network of over 290 multi-disciplinary primary and specialty care providers.
