The posted compensation range of $275,000 - $285,000 /year is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Pediatrician, you will join Dignity Health Medical Group - Dominican, a premier multi-specialty group in Santa Cruz County, playing a pivotal role in providing comprehensive care for our growing community in Capitola, CA.

You will provide a unique balance of inpatient and outpatient pediatric care, bridging the gap between clinical practice and hospital-based acute care. With an affiliation at Dominican Hospital—featuring a Level 3 NICU and onsite Neonatologist support—you will have the resources to deliver high-quality care while becoming a trusted partner to families in the beautiful coastal city of Santa Cruz.

To be successful in this role, you will be a collaborative, patient-centric physician committed to clinical excellence, community engagement, and the spirit of humankindness. We foster an autonomous and supportive environment and encourage new graduates to apply.

  • Provide high-quality pediatric care in both outpatient clinic and inpatient settings.
  • Participate in a 1:7 call rotation, ensuring continuous support for our pediatric inpatient population.
  • Develop and manage individualized care plans for children of all ages, ensuring compassionate and evidence-based treatment.
  • Collaborate with an established team of 6 physicians and 1 APP to optimize patient outcomes and departmental efficiency.
  • Contribute to the growth of the practice and have the opportunity to precept advanced practice providers and future residents.

We are offering the following incentives to eligible new hires:

  • Guaranteed Annual Salary: $275,000 - $285,000 (DOE)

Job Requirements

Required:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatrics
  • Active or eligible license in the state of California
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an empathetic, patient-focused approach
  • Commitment to clinical excellence, professional growth, and contributing to a collegial team environment
  • Spanish proficiency is a plus
