- Clinical Support: Dedicated Medical Assistant, Ultrasonographer, and RN support within the clinic.
- Modern Facilities: Practice at the well-equipped Dominican Hospital and the Mary & Richard Solari Cancer Center.
- Premier Infusion Center: Conveniently co-located at the Hematology Care Center, our primary outpatient infusion center features 15 private bays arranged around a central nursing hub for optimal patient safety and comfort.
- Multidisciplinary Team: Access support from nurse navigators, social workers, a pharmacy liaison for oral medications, research coordinators, genetic counselors, and 24/7 anesthesia coverage.
- Clinical Infrastructure: 17-bed inpatient oncology unit with daily multidisciplinary rounds, weekly tumor boards, a rapid diagnosis clinic, and two radiation centers.
- Comprehensive Care: Access to the Katz Cancer Resource Center, clinical trials, tele-genetics, survivorship programs, and bereavement support.
Responsibilities
- Clinical Excellence: Provide expert hematology and oncology care, utilizing the co-located Solari Infusion Center for modern treatment delivery.
- Program Growth: Collaborate with leadership to shape clinical protocols and expand oncology service lines within the Santa Cruz community.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Lead weekly Tumor Boards and participate in multidisciplinary rounds for the 17-bed inpatient oncology unit.
- Advocacy: Partner with navigators and social workers to ensure a seamless, supportive patient journey from diagnosis through survivorship.
- Culture Building: Actively mentor clinical staff and foster a collaborative environment that prioritizes provider well-being and patient outcomes.
Job Requirements
- A valid and unrestricted California medical license
- Board eligible or board certified in specified area of medical specialty (ABMS or AOA)
- Completion of an accredited post-graduate training program
