Occupational Medicine Physician
Job Details
As our Occupational Medicine Physician, you will join Mercy Medical Group's robust multi-specialty group in the Sacramento, CA region. This full-time opportunity offers a shareholder track, generous compensation, and a comprehensive benefits package, including a bonus. You will be instrumental in providing evidence-based medical treatment for work-related injuries and a wide array of occupational health services, contributing to our reputation as a "Preferred Provider" for worker compensation insurance carriers in Northern California.
Every day you will treat diverse work-related injuries, including lacerations, strains, fractures, and acute eye injuries, ensuring timely and effective care for prompt return to work and case closure. Beyond injury treatment, you will conduct essential occupational health services such as pre-employment physical examinations, DOT and Hazmat physicals, and provide physician-certified MRO services for employment drug testing. Furthermore, you will offer expert recommendations on ergonomics and chemical exposures, contributing to a safe and healthy work environment for various employers.
To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong background in Occupational Medicine, demonstrating expertise in diagnosing and managing work-related injuries and illnesses. Your ability to provide evidence-based medical treatment and maintain cost-effectiveness is crucial for our clinic's success. We are offering full benefits and CME allowance, a sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, in addition to a shareholder track opportunity for new hires who meet the eligibility requirements. We also offer 401(k) with employer match & employer-funded pension plan. Our opportunity is PSLF eligible.
Job Requirements
- MD or DO degree
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Occupational Medicine, Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (ABMS or AOA)
- Active or eligible license in the state of California
- DEA certification
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Passion for delivering compassionate, high-quality care in a fast-paced environment

MMG is a large multi-specialty medical group of 500+ providers comprised of primary care physicians, specialists in more than 30 medical and surgical specialties, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners.
