Job Details
The Medical Director will:
- Assists in directing the patient care and medical education for appropriate departments.
- This is a part time role with clinical responsibilities based on the responsibilities of the speciality of the Physician
- Works with COO or appropriate YRMG leadership stakeholder to comply with all regulatory bodies and state.
- Oversees the implementation of quality improvement efforts designed to improve clinical performance and maintain compliance with TJC, HIPAA, and other accreditation standards.
- Participates in development and implementation of quality initiatives including patient access and satisfaction, provider satisfaction, clinical outcomes and process improvement, and guideline development.
- Participates in strategic plan and business plan development including identification of strategic partners, growth and resource allocation.
- Provides oversight to address Physician behavior, including performance management duties, including providing crucial conversations.
- Provides oversight for Quality/Peer review/population health related matters, performance, addressing matters, issues, and improvements.
- Partners with COO as dyad in addressing Clinical, Quality, financial, and strategic matters.
- Provides input to the manager of the department in developing operating and capital budgets.
- Assists with meeting departmental and divisional budgetary goals.
- Participates in and provides input into development of business/strategic plans.
Job Requirements
- Valid AZ state medical license (MD or DO) upon hire
- History of Leadership roles in Medical Group settings

Where You'll Work
We are looking for a Full Time Medical Director to join our team!
The primary role of this position is to provide skilled management and strategic leadership functions for the YRMC Medical Group that results in effective financial, quality, clinical, patient experience, safety, and provider wellness in partnership with COO, President (YRMG), and YRMG C suite members. This position provides physician oversight over YRMG. This includes activities as Quality Management, patient safety, improving patient experience, any other duties as assigned. This individual shall assume a facilitative role to partner with hospitals and their C suite members to address YRMG related matters when appropriate. Also, the will work with appropriate stakeholders to set policies and procedures and ensure all services meet the objectives of YRMG and CommonSpirit.
