The posted compensation range of $325,000 - $325,000 /year is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Academic Rheumatologist you will join our dynamic healthcare team at CHI Health Clinic and Creighton University School of Medicine. This is a clinical practice position with the addition of bedside teaching within a collaborative environment. You will contribute to the growth of our Rheumatology practice while engaging in meaningful patient care and medical education activities. 

Everyday you will enjoy a multifaceted daily routine that blends clinical care with engaging educational responsibilities.You might have mornings that start the day with a grand rounds presentation on complex autoimmune case, followed by providing bedside supervision and teaching to Internal Medicine residents and medical students during their rheumatology clinic rotations. The practice is flexible to allow you to pursue specific clinical interests. Throughout the week, you will also benefit from seamless access to a large, established primary care network, facilitating referrals and fostering continuity of care for their patients. 

To be successful in this role you will excel in delivering exceptional patient care while demonstrating strong productivity, effectively balancing clinical demands with teaching. You will thrive in a dynamic environment, contributing to the growth and reputation of the department through your clinical expertise and commitment to academic excellence. 

  • 95% Outpatient practice
  • Call: 1:3 for clinic calls and inpatient rounding
  • Work 4.5 days per week
  • Participate in a Vibrant Teaching Service doing grand rounds, board review lectures and medical school lectures
  • Perform ultrasound-guided procedures if desired
  • Faculty Appointment with Creighton University School of Medicine

We are offering a guaranteed two-year base salary, a starting bonus, and relocation assistance for new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.


Job Requirements

Required

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine Certification in Rheumatology
  • Active or Eligible to obtain an unrestricted license in Nebraska
  • DEA in good standing with no restrictions
  • BLS
  • A record of excellence in clinical care and education
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to providing high quality, compassionate care
