The posted compensation range of $112,455 - $131,198 /year is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Details
As our Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA), you will join CHI Health Cardiovascular Institute and Nebraska Heart Institute in Lincoln, Nebraska, and become part of a highly respected cardiovascular team dedicated to delivering exceptional heart and vascular care throughout the region. This position offers the opportunity to develop meaningful patient relationships while practicing in a collaborative outpatient environment focused on high-quality cardiovascular care.
Every day you will provide comprehensive outpatient cardiovascular care, manage your own patient panel, collaborate with cardiologists and multidisciplinary team members, and help patients navigate the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of cardiovascular disease.
To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a passion for cardiovascular medicine. You will also demonstrate the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team-based care model.
- Provide comprehensive cardiovascular care in the outpatient setting
- Participate in outreach clinics to expand access to cardiovascular care throughout the region
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions
- Establish and maintain your own patient panel while building long-term patient relationships
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with cardiologists and other members of the cardiovascular team
- Assist cardiologists with patient management and clinical coordination through electronic inbox support
- Educate patients and families regarding cardiovascular conditions, treatment options, medications, and lifestyle modifications
- Utilize Epic EMR

Job Requirements
Required
- Master's Degree or higher from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Certification by a nationally recognized certification organization
- Active or Eligible to obtain an unrestricted Nebraska and Iowa License
- Nebraska and Iowa DEA registration or eligibility to obtain
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to providing high quality, compassionate care
Preferred
- Prior experience in Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Hospital Medicine, Critical Care, Emergency Medicine, or a related specialty
