The posted compensation range of $314,000 - $345,000 /year is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Primary Care Physician at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health (VMFH), you will join an established practice in Federal Way, Washington. We specialize in diagnosing and treating primary care patients, making a significant impact on their lives and families.

Every day you will provide compassionate and expert care, conducting thorough assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the holistic well-being of our patients.

To be successful in this role you will be dedicated to excellent patient care and possess expertise in diagnosing and managing complex diseases with strong communication skills. You will also demonstrate a deep commitment to patient-centered care and the capacity to thrive within a collegial and supportive environment. 

Practice Philosophy: A Collaborative Model
We utilize a sophisticated, team-based care delivery model. Each physician operates within a dedicated "pod"—a multidisciplinary unit comprising physicians, ARNPs, PAs, nurses, and medical assistants. By integrating clinical pharmacists and behavioral health consultants directly into our clinical workflow, we ensure comprehensive, coordinated care that drives superior health outcomes and patient satisfaction. These pods are designed to be agile, fostering an environment where team members can adapt quickly to evolving clinical needs.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
  • BC/BE by American Board in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Unrestricted active Washington State Medical License or eligible to obtain
  • Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority needed for the specific practice
  • Strong clinical diagnostic skills in an ambulatory setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to all ages of patients
