The posted compensation range of $274,023 - $371,629 /year is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Neurohospitalist
Job Details
As our Inpatient Neurohospitalist, you will help patients at Penrose Hospital receive high-value, top-quality neurological care in an inpatient setting so they can achieve optimal outcomes and improve their quality of life.
Every day you will take care of patients with brain, spine, or nervous system problems who are in the hospital. This means you'll figure out what's wrong, decide on the best treatments, and work with other doctors and nurses to make sure patients get great care. You'll also be expected to always follow the best medical and ethical guidelines.
To be successful in this role, you must be a Board Certified/Board Eligible Neurologist with a passion for inpatient care and a commitment to patient-centered practice.
- Provide comprehensive inpatient neurological care for patients admitted to Penrose Hospital.
- Diagnose and manage acute neurological emergencies and complex neurological disorders.
- Perform neurological consultations for other hospital services, offering expert guidance and treatment recommendations.
- Collaborate effectively with intensivists, hospitalists, neurosurgeons, and other specialists to optimize patient care.
- Adhere to customary practice standards, medical ethics, and all relevant accrediting board requirements for neurological specialty.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain meticulous documentation of patient care.
Job Requirements
Required
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Successful completion of a Neurology Residency or Fellowship program
- Active Physician license in the State of Colorado
- Active and unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration
- Board Certification in Neurology (ABPN) or Board Eligibility with intent to certify within one (1) year of hire
- Ability to obtain Medical Staff Privileges within the CommonSpirit Health system at Penrose Hospital
