The posted compensation range of $740,000 - $775,000 /year is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Interventional Cardiologist
Job Details
As our Interventional Cardiologist, you will be an integral part of a dedicated team committed to truly optimizing healthcare for the communities we proudly serve in Colorado Springs and the surrounding region. This crucial position will involve providing exceptional cardiovascular care while actively contributing to the delivery of the highest quality and most cost-effective healthcare within our integrated delivery system.
Every day, your multifaceted role will involve a comprehensive range of responsibilities: You will evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad spectrum of acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions in both dynamic outpatient and critical inpatient settings, ensuring thorough patient care. You will collaborate closely with primary care providers, hospitalists, and noninvasive cardiologists, fostering a truly integrated approach to complex patient management. You will work effectively with advanced practice providers, cardiac surgeons, and multidisciplinary care teams to deliver coordinated, patient-centered treatment plans that optimize outcomes. As a key member of our cardiovascular service line, you will actively expand access to specialized, life-saving interventional cardiac care for underserved populations. You will build strong and trust-based relationships with referring providers throughout the region, enhancing our network of critical care.

Job Requirements
Required
- Must have successfully completed a residency or fellowship commensurate with area of specialty.
- Obtain and maintain an unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency (“DEA”) registration;
- Be board certified or eligible in the appropriate specialty, by a board acceptable to Hospital;
- Obtain Medical Staff Privileges within the Health system, at sponsoring institution
- Active or eligible unrestricted license to practice medicine in Colorado

Penrose-St. Francis Health Services is a full-service, 712-bed acute care provider in Colorado Springs comprising Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Hospital and St Francis Hospital - Interquest. St. Francis Hospital opened in 2008 to keep pace with the growing needs of the Colorado Springs' community on the north side of the city. St. Francis Hospital features 340-beds and offers a modern Birth Center, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Cancer Center, Emergency Department, Level III Trauma Center, Imaging Services, Acute Inpatient Rehab, Surgical Services and Critical Care Unit. It also serves as southern Colorado's home base for the Flight For Life Colorado air medical transport service.
