Neurosurgery PA
Job Details
As our Physician Assistant, Neurosurgery, you will be an integral member of a leading multi-specialty group's Neurosurgery team in Carmichael, CA, playing a crucial role in delivering comprehensive patient care. You will provide essential clinical support and surgical assistance, ensuring high-quality outcomes for neurosurgery patients across both outpatient and hospital settings within the Sacramento region.
Every day you will engage in diverse responsibilities, including hospital rounds, managing post-operative care in both inpatient and clinic environments, and evaluating non-operative referrals. You will also serve as a surgical first assistant approximately 3-4 times per month. Your clinical duties involve obtaining medical histories, performing physical examinations, formulating differential diagnoses, developing treatment plans in collaboration with physicians, writing orders, and prescribing medications. You will also instruct and counsel patients and families, ensuring accurate and timely documentation, and acting as a vital liaison among medical staff.
To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant with a robust understanding of neurosurgery, capable of performing within your scope of practice. You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a commitment to patient education, and meticulous documentation abilities.

Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current and unrestricted California PA license
- National certification (NCCPA)
- BLS and ACLS
- DEA license
