The posted compensation range of $276,070 - $293,882 /year is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Family Medicine Physician
Job Details
As our Family Medicine Physician, you will join a team dedicated to truly optimizing healthcare for the communities we serve in Bayfield and the surrounding region. This position will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care while contributing to the delivery of the highest quality and most cost-effective healthcare within our integrated delivery system.
Every day you will provide preventive, acute, and chronic disease management services for patients of all ages while collaborating with physicians, advanced practice providers, clinical staff, and leadership teams to achieve outstanding patient outcomes. You will work closely with care teams to coordinate treatment plans, promote wellness, and ensure access to high-quality, accessible care. As a trusted healthcare partner within the community, you will play an important role in fostering strong patient relationships and supporting the overall health and well-being of the population you serve.
To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled, board-certified, and compassionate Family Medicine Physician who is committed to delivering comprehensive care across the continuum of life.

We are offering a competative base salary, generous CME allowance, and recruiting incentives, which include a sign-on bonus, student loan assistance, and relocation assistance for new hires who meet the eligibility requirements. This position is a Monday through Friday schedule with no call constraints.
Job Requirements
Required:
- Must have successfully completed a residency or fellowship commensurate with area of specialty.
- Obtain and maintain an unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency (“DEA”) registration;
- Board certified/board eligible in the appropriate specialty, by a board acceptable to Hospital;
- Obtain Medical Staff Privileges within the Health system, at sponsoring institution
- Active or eligible unrestricted license to practice medicine in Colorado

Mercy Hospital is an 82 bed, acute care hospital located in the scenic southwestern Colorado town of Durango. It is the only hospital in Colorado to be rated by Medicare with five stars for overall hospital quality. It is recognized for excellence in orthopedic and spine surgery and for outstanding patient experience and patient safety. Mercy has also received ten consecutive 'A' grades for patient safety from The Leapfrog Group. Our providers use state-of-the-art technology in an environment designed to promote wellbeing and healing of body, mind, and spirit. Among the many specialty services available at Mercy are emergency care (Level III trauma designation), surgical care, cardiac care (including interventional), Orthopedic and Spine Centers of Excellence, a Family Birthing Center, home care, hospice care and more.
